Leader – Advisor – Communicator

Hallo! I am Eva-Maria.

As a passionate learner, my goal is to learn from the best, and I thrive when I’m hands-on and can make things happen.

As such, I learned structured problem solving by studying physics, healthcare at the NHS, solving the most critical business problems at Bain & Company, B2B technology sales at VMware (a leading multi-cloud provider), multi-stakeholder management at the World Economic Forum, and tenacity by winning my Boat Race for Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club the year after learning how to row.

I believe in the power of communication – as a speaker and as an author. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my experiences and, in return, learning from others. Whether it is in a one-on-one setting, as a panelist, on a board, or in a workshop, I am always eager to engage in meaningful exchange.

Projects and Activities

Keynotes & Panels

I love the energy of a good discussion, sharing my experiences, and being able to give people food for thought.

Board Member & Advisor

Having been both an Associate Partner at Bain & Company and a Regional Sales Leader at VMware, I enjoy being able to solve business problems.

Teaching & Lecturing

As an academic, I taught at Cambridge University. Later at Bain, I developed & delivered internal and client-facing training programs – and teaching is still a passion of mine!

Leadership Diaries

I have always been a writer. Building on my early roots in journalism, I share my reflections about leadership in business and beyond on LinkedIn as well as this blog.

Coming soon: Big Deal Course

At Bain & VMware, I learned a lot about how to sell, especially multi-million-dollar contracts – build on value and trust.

I am working on a course about how to set up and scale up a program to boost big deals (in my world, anything from 5 up to 10M$).
